Dayla is a kitchen standing aid to help support people with limited stability. This project was a part of the GF Strong Solutions '09 exhibition. Our co-creator has a physical disability that makes it hard to him to stand without support. He enjoys cooking at schoolbut he must hold onto the counter while standing, which prevents him from using both hands. We created a chest and back support made from bent wood that creates a comfortable ‘home base’ for Riley in the kitchen to assist his current standing ability.
